2026 Quick Update

I don't have much time for blogging these days but here's a quick update on what I have been working on:

Filament

Filament admin panels are nearly half of my business now; the framework is flexible enough to fulfil a lot of my client's requirements. in 2025 I built Filament panels for:

  • Managing contractors and collecting worksheets for an insulation business.

  • Managing franchisees and providing materials to a chain of restaurants.

  • Managing staff and providing materials to staff for a chain of gyms.

  • Managing membership and payments for a museum.

  • Managing touch screen terminals and products for a home decoration chain.

and I have some more Filament projects in the pipeline!

Statamic

Statamic is still my go-to for websites that require content management; and my client's seem to like it too!

My Tech Stack

My programming journey continues and I am always looking for ways to improve my development flow. These are the main technologies that I am working with currently:

  • Filament 4

  • Statamic 5

  • Vue 3

  • Typescript

  • Livewire 3

  • Tailwind 4

What about AI?

AI is scary good at some things but I am cautious not to rely on it too much. I'm hesitant to use code generation directly in my editor so I mainly use the web-based Gemini for help with complex logic or to get ideas for application structure.

I came across Loveable.com recently and that blew my mind; it can generate entire applications from text-based prompts, and anyone can do it. It is amazing technology but it's not something I would ever recommend for a production application or anything that is mission-critical. I've already been contacted by a couple of Loveable users who are now stuck with very complicated broken code.
