About Laravel

Laravel is a PHP framework that has been steadily gaining popularity since it's creation in 2011. It is now, by far, the most popular PHP framework in the world.

Described by its creator Taylor Otwell as "The PHP framework for web artisans", Laravel enables me to be a creative web programmer and eliminate a lot development time that would usually be spent re-inventing the wheel.

It has a thriving community of developers and a massive range of free packages which, again, increase productivity and save on development time.

With Laravel I can build high-quality web sites and applications.

My Laravel Experience

I have been working with Laravel since version 4.1, which was released in 2013, and I am currently working with version 5.5 LTS.

I am a member of Laracasts and I follow the lessons and practices of its founder Jeffrey Way.

I utilise as many of Laravel's features as I can, including: Blade, Eloquent, Mix and Artisan. I develop locally using Laravel Homestead and I use Laravel Forge for deploying servers on Amazon's Web Services.

I have developed my own Laravel packages which can be pulled into any project via Composer.

This website is built using Laravel as are many of my client's websites, including a facilities management system which is currently in use by a large apartment complex in Dublin's City Center.
